Boy I’m glad I don’t live in western Wisconsin, what with all those starving refugees from Minnesota about to arrive

The state’s shutting down!

Minnesota government begins historic shutdown

Talks imploded Thursday between DFL Gov. Mark Dayton and Republican legislative leaders in the final hours before a midnight deadline, and Minnesota began a historic government shutdown.

Dear God! Without a state to take care of them, what will all those people do? They’ll be streaming across the border, desperate for help!

We need the Red Cross! Supplies! Tents! Maybe a carrier group! Temporary bridges to span the Mississippi, to prevent those poor, desperate people from risking their lives by swimming it!

Alternate theory: it’s a Democrat ploy to get more Minnesota people into Wisconsin in time to vote in our recall elections. Two of the recall districts are right there on the western border.
