Politico wonders when Congressional Republicans will keep a campaign promise. Same story about Obama in three…two…

Oh, who are we kidding? Holding Republicans’ feet to the fire is far more important. Why? Dunno. Maybe Politico thinks Republican voters actually give a damn whether their representatives keep promises or not.

Here’s the gist:

When they took control of the House, Republicans could barely stop talking about their plans to “repeal and replace” the health care reform law.

Six months later, they hardly talk publicly about those plans at all. And they’re nowhere close to "replacing” the law.

Okay, well, how about this: pass a bill granting ObamaCare waivers to anybody who requests one. Anyone. Mandate that any notarized letter from any business or organization be considered an official and sufficient request, and mandate that HHS respond with official notice of the waiver within 30 days.

When Democrats complain, just point to all the mandates the administration has already granted.

Hey, you’re welcome. Like Jimmie Bise, I’m available for consultation. Very reasonable rates.
